Workshop
Project duration
3 hrs workshop
Participants learnt how to apply AI tools to their everyday workflows to increase productivity, and to approach AI with greater confidence.
Challenge
At SG Enable, AI usage was mixed, with most using it only for basic tasks such as simple copywriting or translation. Some staff were enthusiastic and curious, while others felt hesitant or intimidated by AI tools.
The challenge was to:
Demystify AI tools and help staff see AI as a helpful productivity aid, not something scary or difficult
Move beyond basic usage, so they could tap into more of what AI can offer in their day-to-day work
Solution
We first worked with the client to understand their team’s AI proficiency, the tools available to them, and their typical workflows, so that the session would be practical and directly tied to their real responsibilities.
We then designed a 3-hour workshop tailored to SG Enable:
AI 101 crash course using their chat-based generative AI tool of choice, to get everyone comfortable with the interface and key features
A focused toolkit framed around their everyday tasks so participants could immediately see how AI connects to their own work
Guided hands-on activities so participants could immediately practise new skills and feel confident applying them back at work
Results
The workshop was rated 4.4 out of 5 for usefulness, with participants highlighting the relevance of the tools and the practicality of the activities.
1. Mindset shift: AI as a practical, everyday helper
Post-session feedback pointed to a shift in attitude — seeing that “AI tools can be part and parcel of our daily work” and learning “how we can start using AI to help us be more efficient in our work practices”. The workshop helped reduce fear and overwhelm, and helped them see AI as a productivity partner.
2. Participants discovered new tools and concrete ways to use them
Many participants shared that their biggest takeaway was learning about tools beyond “just ChatGPT”, and seeing how each could be used for different parts of their work. Participants valued learning “different ways to use GenAI” and left with clearer ideas of which tool to use for what, rather than seeing AI as a generic black box.
