UX Researcher
Job description
At 55 Minutes, user research is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a UX Researcher to help us uncover user needs and translate insights into impactful digital experiences. In this role, you’ll design and conduct research using various methods, analyze findings to inform design decisions, and collaborate closely with the team to create user-centered solutions. If you’re passionate about understanding people and shaping meaningful products, we’d love to hear from you!
Core responsibilities
Designing and executing user research activities that the team will adopt to inform product plans and designs
Recommend suitable research methods that addresses project needs, timelines, and budget; being creative with methods when faced with constraints
Conduct research by deploying a variety of methods such as user interviews, usability test, surveys, trends analysis, etc to gain insight on users
Coordinate administrative tasks pertaining to research activities, including participant scheduling and coordination, administering consent forms, incentives, etc
Analyze findings from research/interviews and create tools or frameworks to ground the team in user-centric thinking (e.g. personas, journey maps, empathy maps, data visualization, etc)
Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through presentations and oral presentations to onboard findings with teams/clients
Transform research insights into actions and designs by suggesting concepts and/or facilitating the team through a co-creative process to decide next steps
Write short articles or case studies on our research processes, research methods, project journeys, etc, as part showcasing our work
Participate in design sprints, ie: defining problem statements, ideation and design
Proactively identify opportunities to improve our research processes and deliverables to ensure the function grows alongside the wider business
Champion UX Research by keeping abreast of the practices and trends, and contribute to the growth of the team by sharing learnings with the team regularly
You'd be a good fit if you
Have at least 2-3 years of work experience in UX research/qualitative research
Are equipped with methodological grounding and understanding of qualitative research methods
Possess strong communication, collaboration, as well as presentation skills
Are curious about people and enjoy talking to them
Believe in the importance of UX research and how it'd shape design and solve problems better
Adopt an owner’s mindset and wants to be involved in shaping, as well as growing alongside, a young company
Are keen to work closely with a small team to deliver in a lean and creative kind of environment
Have a Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, anthropology, human-computer interaction, human factors engineering—that is a bonus!
Are Singaporean or PR—we welcome all talent, but we do not have the necessary work pass quota at this time
